Parents Heart Run

A warm whisper blows past your ear as everything begins to be engulfed by light. Even though the words aren’t very clear, you can still tell that the kind voice was calling your name.

Everything seems to drip away like a chalk painting being soaked in rain. The colors continued to wash over each other until a bright light swallows the surroundings. Soon enough, you find yourself standing at yet another clearing. However, there is nothing but grass for miles and miles . . . with the exception of a single, leafless tree.



Upon closer inspection of the branches, you’ll notice that there’s a girl who seemed to be focusing her attention towards absolutely nothing at all.

For a while, she just sits there not paying any attention, but soon enough, she hops out of tree and gives you something of a twisted smile. There's also notice a bruise on her face.

She looks a bit dumbfounded at first, but she suddenly starts laughing instead. "You're a funny kid, you know that?"

She looks a bit contemplative and holds up a finger.

"Well, unfortunately you can't stay here, funny kid, but here's the deal. If you can find me one more time, I’ll tell you a secret. If you can’t, you have to give me your name. However, I’ll give you a little something to help you out. He probably won’t like it if I do, but it'll be more fun this way."

The girl just gave another shrug and turned away with a wave of a hand. Before you can say or do anything, you can feel yourself being lifted off the ground. It was as if something had grabbed ahold of you around your waist, and . . . it was warm and wet? Whatever it was, it was dragging you higher and higher into the sky. The scenery once again began to melt just like how you arrived but this time there was a tingling, burning sensation inside of your eyes. Before you realize it you find yourself back at the clearing.
