Parents Heart Run

A warm whisper blows past your ear as everything begins to be engulfed by light. Even though the words aren’t very clear, you can still tell that the kind voice was calling your name.

You find yourself flopped in a snowy clearing, surrounded by a thick and quiet forest. It is pretty chilly out, but luckily you seem to have acquired a bit of winter wear to help keep you relatively warm (the color of choice is up to you ♥). It’s eerily quiet with the exception of the occasional breath of wind that seems to blow right besides you (and strangely never quite directly towards you). The most notable thing in the area is the long, lanky figure wearing a one-eyed mask, holding a tattered umbrella.

*picking himself up and inspecting the winterwear -- green and white, and also adorable what -- before approaching the figure*

[blinks at the scarf]

Despite not being able to see a face, you can still feel a strong sense of judgment coming from the figure. Shaking her head once, her voice speaks up, "Hello. I can tell you where to go, or you can tell me where you want to go. I will take you there."

[nya?]

I'd like to be somewhere I could help. Where would you tell me to go?

[shakes his head a little, then walks over to the figure.]

Hey.

" . . . "

She slowly hands over a book with a pen attached and also a paper doll.

"There are five pages. You can write on those pages and it'll have an effect on whatever the page touches."

Everything seems to drip away like a chalk painting being soaked in rain. The colors continued to wash over each other until a bright light swallows the surroundings. Soon enough, you find yourself standing at yet another clearing. However, there is nothing but grass for miles and miles . . . with the exception of a single, leafless tree.

Upon closer inspection of the branches, you’ll notice that there’s a girl who seemed to be focusing her attention towards absolutely nothing at all.

She leans in to tap at the paper doll once and proceeds to take a couple steps back. It seems like an ordinary paper doll! At least, until it grows over six feet tall and completely engulfs you, dragging you away to who knows where.

*well that was trippy. shakes himself off a bit; calls up into the branches*

Why d'you want to show people around?

For a while, she just sits there not paying any attention, but soon enough, she hops out of tree and gives you something of a twisted smile. There's also notice a bruise on her face.

"You can't see, can you?"

"Oh, you mean this?" She touched the bruise lightly, and proceeded to shrug her shoulders. "Someone threw a rock earlier. Hey, lets make a bet."

"To help out a friend."
